Dr Awad William Ghattas comes from a family of Doctors. He completed his medical degree in Egypt in 1986. He practiced as an Orthopaedic surgeon before migrating to Australia.
Dr William commenced working as a General Practitioner in Gippsland for 9 years. He then went on to work in South East Melbourne where he has worked for the past 5 years.
He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College and has also worked as a tutor and mentor for International Medial Graduates.
Dr Awad currently provides mentorship and supervision to Year 4 Medical Students through a partnership with Monash University.
Dr William speaks Arabic & french fluently.
He has 3 adult children and in his spare time he enjoys fishing, tennis & playing golf.
